Review: The reviewer described notes of baked cherry, back fig fruit, dried thyme, incense and leather. They also described it as well-knit and focused, with light tannins.
Wine
Folly: From page 260, the word "negroamaro" translates to "black bitter," however, the grape is fruity and not too tannic. It also says to expect ripe, backed plum and raspberry flavors with subtle notes of backing spice and herbs.
My
review: Like the reviewer I did taste notes of leather and something smokey, it did not taste or smell like incense to me. I also did not find the wine well-knit or focused at all. The wine was completely out of balance and was incredibly dry.
